This summer Hummus Wraps have been a go-to dinner meal. Instead of always turning to the grill for preparing food, hummus wraps are healthy, quick and easy! An added bonus is, there is no need to turn on an oven! Living in Phoenix, AZ no one wants to add extra heat to a home.

Cindy posted a great hummus recipe here that would work perfectly for wraps. I have also included another recipe at the bottom of this post. Regardless of the hummus recipe you choose, toppings make the wrap complete! A variety of healthy fresh vegetables add filling and flavor. Below I have pictured and listed some quick and easy toppings I use often.

1 – Hummus on tortilla of choice.

2 – Add cheese. Any flavor, any type. Shredded or sliced.

3 – Shredded carrots.

4. Diced tomatoes.

5. Shredded lettuce.

Hummus wraps are a great way to add fresh vegetables. Other toppings can include, sliced cucumbers, strips of red/yellow peppers, spinach, onions, etc.

Hummus:

1 garlic clove

1 15-oz can garbanzo beans (chick peas), drained and rinsed

3/4 tsp salt

pinch of cayenne pepper

3 Tbsp lemon juice

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup tahini

3 Tbsp lemon juice

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup tahini

1/4 cup water

3 Tbsp lemon juice

1/8 tsp of paprika

Directions: Mix in food processor for best results
