I needed muffin liners for some pumpkin muffins I was making, and I was all out. So in a pinch, I cut some parchment paper in squares and molded the squares to the inside of the muffin pan. I normally like to line my cookie sheets with parchment paper, so I figured this method would be pretty similar. There is no need to spray the liners, just as you wouldn’t do that to muffin liner cups you purchase from the store.
My muffins cooked just like normal and they actually came out of the liners super easy, leaving no residue. Much cleaner than those bought from the store. My muffin pan was also less greasy on the bottoms so I didn’t have to wash my pan!
